If you are a social miner active in the NEM HUB community, you may have difficulty setting up and getting started with some XEM into a NEM Wallet Native. I also feel the same way, because this is something new that has never been done at all.

The NEM HUB social mining platform requires the use of a Non-Custodial (NC) Wallet to hold XEM tokens

Why should Native NEM Wallet?

We use the native NEM Wallet in order to take advantage of a wider range of service features. The desktop version of the NEM wallet has complete features including Namespace, Mosaics, Symbol Opt In, Voting, Harvest, and others.

In addition, the most important thing is as a condition for Opt-in distribution of the Symbol token (XYM). So those who are entitled to get XYM tokens are those who hold XEM tokens and are read in the Native NEM Wallet.

Why do other NC wallets need to be integrated with the Native NEM Wallet?

So that every flow in and out of XEM tokens on the Native NEM Wallet can be read directly on the NC Wallet and no need to go through the process of sending tokens again. Also to make it easier to swap or buy and sell XEM tokens with other tokens through NC Wallet.

How do we integrate it?

In this tutorial, we choose Atomic Wallet as an example of another Non-Custodial Wallet case which we will integrate into the Native NEM Wallet. Come on, let’s get started :

I. Atomic Wallet Integration into the NEM HUB Platform

The first step is to link the Atomic wallet address to the NEM HUB platform.

Download and install the latest version of Atomic Wallet 2.19.0

There are 2 versions, mobile, and desktop. You can install one or both as needed. Open the Atomic Wallet application that is already installed then create a wallet, continue with setting the password, and don’t forget to save the seed phrase in a safe place.

Open the Wallet menu, look for the XEM token then open it and click RECEIVE. After that our XEM wallet address will appear. Copy the wallet address and connect it to the NEM HUB platform.

Before connecting to the platform, you will be asked to verify your wallet address to prove that the wallet address you registered is correct. You do this by sending 0.1 XEM to the wallet address designated by the platform. Of course, your Atomic wallet must have sufficient XEM funds.

After successful verification wait, within 24 hours for the platform to take a snapshot. At this point, you are ready to do Social Mining.

II. Atomic Wallet Integration to the Native NEM Wallet

The second step is to connect the Atomic wallet to the Native NEM Wallet. There are 2 versions of NEM Wallet as well, both of which must also be integrated. We will first connect the Atomic wallet to the mobile NEM wallet. This step is important because to be able to access a WEB-based NEM Wallet you cannot directly from an Atomic Wallet or other Non-Custodial Wallet but must be from a mobile NEM Wallet.

Alright, let’s start the journey!

Please download the Native NEM Wallet via the site https://nemplatform.com/wallets/

A. Download the mobile version, then install

See the picture above do the following steps:

1. Check the warning notification
2. Set a password
3. Add an account
4. Select Enter key
5. Import Privat Key appears. Now import the Private Key from the XEM token in the Atomic Wallet.

6. Open the Atomic Wallet
7. Select Settings

8. Select Privat Keys
9. Enter the Atomic apps password then click Show Private Keys
10. Find and select the NEM (XEM) token
11. Atomic Desktop version contains 2 information: Public Key (NEM token wallet address in atomic) and Private Key. The Atomic Mobile version only has a Private Key and QR Code
12. Copy the Privat Key and enter (import the Privat Key) into the Native NEM Wallet Mobile. See step number 5.
13. Write Account Name and Create

After connecting, your XEM balance in NEM Wallet will appear according to the balance in Atomic Wallet.

B. Download desktop version select Universal Client (yellow color)

Save the ZIP file build-2.4.7-optin on your desktop, extract and klik start. This application is web-based, so run this application when your internet network is connected. After running, select Login and the options appear:

Select import one then select scan. Make sure your desktop has a camera for scanning.

Open your mobile NEM wallet, select More (dot 3)
Select Export Account
Set export password, thick Use application password then OK
Here we choose the same password as the password to open the NEM Wallet mobile application.

Then the QR Code export account will appear and scan it to your desktop/laptop.

Once connected, the option to log in will appear

Choose your account name according to the account name in the mobile NEM wallet. Then enter the password according to the NEM mobile wallet application password. Click Sign in.

After the dashboard appears, click the Account menu. We will create a Keystore that serves as an alternative to log in. When logging in, you no longer need to use a QR Code scan, but simply import the Keystore Wallet. In addition, Keystore also functions as a backup when you forget the seed phrase and private key

To create a Keystore, click backup wallet then select the wallet name and click the down arrow next to it

Once downloaded, save the Keystore file in a safe place.
Okay, the process of integrating wallets from Atomic Wallet, mobile NEM Wallet, and NEM desktop wallet has been completed.
